PBZn

PBZn is a peak brightener (top brightener) specifically developed for alkaline non-cyanide zinc-nickel alloy plating baths. Its primary composition consists of heterocyclic salts, and it appears as a pale yellow liquid. In practical application, it effectively enhances both the brightness and leveling performance of the deposit in high-current-density areas, contributing to a uniform and high-quality alloy surface finish. The recommended make-up dosage is approximately 1.0 ml/L, with a replenishment consumption rate of roughly 0.6–1.0 L per 10 kAh, depending on the type of anode employed.

  • Product Advantages:

Superior Brightness and Burn Prevention in High-Current-Density Areas: In synergy with the base brightener Zn87 and leveling agent Zn83, it effectively prevents "burning" in high-current-density regions while imparting a mirror-like brightness and exceptional leveling to the deposit.

Low Decomposition Rate and Minimal Consumption: Compared to conventional alkaline zinc-nickel systems or competing products, the use of manganese alloy anodes results in significantly less accumulation of organic decomposition by-products under equivalent load conditions, thereby extending bath service life and reducing the frequency of activated carbon treatment.

Stable Alloy Composition over a Wide Current Density Range: Within the complete formulation system, the nickel content remains consistently stable across a broad current density range, with little to no drift occurring upon the addition of the peak brightener.
